Smartflash BIOS UPDATE For 2theMax MOTHERBOARD
(I) A new BIOS is released when:
- New function is added
- Modification of faults in old version
- Solve compatibility problem
- Add support for new CPU
(II) Determine your need for BIOS update:
If your computer system is running smoothly, we suggest you NOT to update your BIOS. That means you are recommended to update your BIOS ONLY IF your computer system have problem.
* In-experienced users tend to make mistakes and lead to system failure when they update the BIOS. AVOID updating the BIOS unless it is absolutely necessary *
(III) How to get the new BIOS:
New BIOS can be found in our website www.2themax.com. BIOS is usually in bin or exe format. If the BIOS is in EXE format, pls. execute it once. It will decompress automatically.
(IV) WARNINGS:
- All SCSI card have to be unplugged before the BIOS update.
- The BIOS update process MUST NOT be interrupted.
- NEVER update the BIOS when your system is over-clocked!
(V) Smartflash BIOS update procedures:
- Copy the downloaded BIOS (in bin format) to a floppy diskette. (The Floppy MUST contain one bin file only)
- Put the diskette to the floppy disk drive
- Restart your computer
- While the lower left part of the screen shows ".... ALT+F2 to enter AWDFLASH", press the ALT+F2 to enter the smartflash
- The BIOS update will start automatically. Pls. follow the onscreen instructions.
- The whole process completes.
* In case of BIOS update failure, please bring along 2theMax motherboard with warranty card to our Service Centre
